Emmanuel Huitron-Guizar of Wyoming pleaded guilty to being an illegal immigrant in possession of firearms after his arrest last year. His attorney appealed the case, saying illegal immigrants are not excluded from possessing firearms like felons and people who are mentally ill, reports ABC News.


The 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in Denver ruled Monday that illegal immigrants have only limited protection under the Constitution. The issue was not addressed in the 2008 Heller decision that overturned the District of Columbia's handgun ban.


In its ruling, the court disagreed with Huitron-Guizar's claim that Congress may not "discriminate against non-citizens by not allowing them to have all the constitutional rights that United States citizens have."

WHO: SR-NOLA (knife), NOLACOPUSMC (pistol)

NOLACOPUSMC AKA Brannon, has offered free use of his indoor range / training facility to conduct this beginner defensive skills workshop.

There will be NO fees for this training. Just bring yourself, pistol, ammo, gear, and lunch (see gear list).

Training will consist of defensive knife skills for the first half of the day, then after lunch switch over to pistol training.

Please PM me and get on the class list. There are 12 spots available. First come First served.

Gear List:

Please bring the following:
Training folder (if you have one), if you don't have one let me know... I have some loaners.
Functional Pistol, Backup Pistol if you want.
Functional Magazines (2 minimum)
100 Rounds Quality Ammo
Pistol cleaning gear, tools, any additional range kit you use.
Eye protection (clear or suitable for indoor),
Ear protection (electronic preferred)
Arm guard (ACE style bandage or neoprene calf supports from Academy)...this is a must have, your forearm will take a beating!
Trainer pistol (red gun blue gun), holster, gun belt, magazine pouches (ALL OPTIONAL)
Appropriate clothing for training (t shirt, athletic shoes, etc) we will work on mats so we train in socks, mat shoes, barefooted, etc.
We will be grappling for the knife training portion, athletic supporter recommended.
Personal Hygiene strongly recommended.

Lynn said Friday that NBC News' investigation into the reports has ended.

In an investigation about a separate incident, reporter Jeff Burnside of WTVJ lost his job because of a March 19 report on the dispatcher's call that similarly edited out the dispatcher's question that prompted Zimmerman's characterization of Martin as black, said Matt Glassman, spokesman for the NBC-owned station.

The WTVJ report did not air on any other NBC stations, he said.

Last week, WTVJ aired an apology to its viewers for the report on some of its newscasts, and posted it on the station's website. The statement said that "an error in editorial judgment was made in which a question from the operator was deleted which could have created the impression that Mr. Zimmerman's statement may have been singling out Trayvon Martin because of his race.
"We take this incident very seriously and apologize to our viewers," WTVJ said. "After conducting an extensive investigation, we are putting a more stringent editorial process in place to ensure this does not happen again."

NBC News did not immediately respond to questions about whether the "Today" show has addressed the misleading reports on the air, or whether there are any plans to do so.

Brent Bozell, founder of the conservative media watchdog the Media Research Center, said NBC still has not come clean.
"The truth has been withheld from NBC's own viewers now for more than one month," he said. "Do the network executives at NBC think that this is acceptable?"

Police Make Second Arrest In St. Patrick’s Day Beating

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Police make another arrest in the beating of a Baltimore tourist. A young woman is the second person to be charged in the brutal attack caught on tape.

In this humiliating video gone viral, a Baltimore tourist was beaten, robbed and later stripped naked by a throng of attackers. Now, Shayona Davis, 20, is behind bars, charged with assault and armed robbery.


“Miss Davis used her shoe, her high-heeled shoe, as a weapon during that attack,” said Anthony Guglielmi, Baltimore City Police spokesperson.




Davis is the second suspect in police custody for the beating. Last week, Aaron Parsons, 20, turned himself in after tipsters from as far away as California called authorities. Parsons was seen throwing the first punch at the victim and publicly apologized.


Detectives have also identified Deangelo, 18, Carter and Shatia Baldwin, 21, in the video and put warrants out for their arrests.


“Just do the right thing. This was an incredible embarrassment for Baltimore and I think Baltimoreans are outraged for what happened and I think people need to be held accountable for actions,” Guglielmi said.




Parsons’ attorney says his client has no part in tracking down others.


“There’s this notion he’s working along with these people and that’s not the case at all. He doesn’t know them to be able to give information on them,” said Warren Brown, Parsons’ attorney.


Police urge anyone who does to help bring justice to the victim and to the city.


Davis, who had a bail review earlier Monday, is being held on $750,000 bond. Parsons is being held on half a million dollars’ bond.


Police are still seeking the identities of the two additional suspects: Deangelo Carter, 18, and Shatia Baldwin, 21.
